Experience

I’ve been in the seat you’re in.

My advice comes from running companies: setting priorities, building teams, closing deals, and answering to boards and investors when the numbers mattered.

  1. 25+ years

in operating, commercial, and general management roles, starting in Private Company Services at PwC.

  2. Four-time COO

At Veylan, Source Digital, BioSymetrics (as President & COO), and Barometric, which I co-founded.

  3. Founder through integration

Took Barometric from spin-out to acquisition by Claritas, then led the integration and Claritas’ measurement division.

  4. Capital & boards

Closed a multi-million-dollar Series Seed round at BioSymetrics and served on its board.

Experience includesBioSymetrics, Claritas, PwC, Veylan, Barometric, Source Digital, PadSquad, and Amobee

Deep in a few industries. Useful in many.

I’ve done the work in several sectors, and each one taught me something that carries over to companies in other industries.

Marketing & media technology

Third Screen Media, AdTheorent, Amobee, Source Digital, PadSquad

COO and senior operating roles running go-to-market, product, client delivery, and margin in fast-moving, client-facing businesses.

Operating discipline for service-heavy companies where delivery and margin decide the year.

Data, analytics & fintech platforms

Barometric / Claritas, Linkable Networks

Co-founded a SaaS analytics company, built it from spin-out to acquisition, then led the integration and a new division inside the buyer. Earlier, led partnerships with banks and retailers at Linkable Networks, a card-linked offers platform.

Building a company to exit, making an acquisition work after the deal closes, and working with large institutional partners.

AI & AI-native platforms

Veylan, gimmefy, BioSymetrics

COO of Veylan, an AI-native operating platform. CEO, North America of gimmefy, a generative AI agent platform for marketers, where I launched the company in the region. President & COO of BioSymetrics, an AI and machine-learning company, where I closed a Series Seed round and joined the board.

Taking new technology to market and turning AI into results the business can measure.

Commerce & private companies

PwC

An early career at PwC advising owner-led and closely held businesses.

Knowing how private companies make and lose money.

Three ways to work together

Some clients want a trusted second opinion. Some need an experienced operator inside the business. Some want an independent voice in the boardroom. The work draws on the same experience.

A trusted second opinion

CEO & Executive Advisory

A senior thinking partner for founders, CEOs, and owners facing decisions with real consequences.

  • Strategic priorities and planning
  • Go-to-market and growth decisions
  • Acquisitions, integration, and exit readiness
  • AI readiness and adoption
Executive advisory
An operator inside the business

Fractional COO & Operating Partner

Hands-on operating leadership when a company needs it, part-time, interim, or full-time.

  • Operating rhythm, KPIs, and accountability
  • Cross-functional execution
  • Organization design and team building
  • Interim leadership through transitions
Fractional leadership
An independent voice in the boardroom

Board & Investor Advisory

An operator’s perspective in the boardroom, connecting strategic oversight to what it takes to execute.

  • Independent and advisory board roles
  • Investor board representation
  • Portfolio company operating support
  • Value-creation planning

AI, put to work

Getting your business ready for AI

Most leadership teams know AI matters. Fewer know where it fits in their business, what to do first, or how to tell whether it’s working.

I’ve run operations at an AI-native marketing platform and an AI and machine-learning company, and brought AI and data products to market. I approach AI the way I approach any operating decision: start with the business problem, then find out what actually changes the numbers.

AI readiness & adoption

Find where AI pays off

Review how work gets done across sales, operations, delivery, and finance, and identify the few places where AI can save time, cut cost, or improve service.

Get the foundations right

Data, processes, ownership, and guardrails. AI works best in a business that already runs on clear processes and good information.

Run focused pilots

Choose tools and partners, define what success looks like, and test before committing budget across the company.

Bring the team along

Adoption is a management challenge as much as a technical one. Set expectations, update roles, and build the habits that make new tools stick.

Who I work with

Leaders responsible for what happens next

The core work of setting priorities, building teams, and executing commercially looks much the same in any industry. I’m often most useful to companies outside tech that are adopting new technology for the first time.

  • Founders & CEOsWho need an experienced operator to pressure-test decisions or help professionalize the business.
  • Owner-led & mid-sized companiesFacing growth that has outpaced their systems, structure, or management team.
  • Private equity & portfolio companiesLooking for operating improvement, fractional leadership, or post-acquisition integration.
  • Venture-backed & growth-stage companiesPreparing to scale, raise capital, or bring a new offering to market.
  • Family offices & investorsSeeking board representation or an operating view of an investment.
  • Private company boardsLooking for an independent director or advisor with real operating experience.

Selected situations

The situation first. The industry second.

Each example is named for the problem solved, with the industry as context.

  1. Post-acquisition integration Data & analytics

Turned an acquired product into a new division

After Claritas acquired Barometric, led the integration and formed the measurement division that brought the platform into the buyer’s enterprise offerings.

  2. Capital raise & board build-out AI

Closed a Series Seed and set up the board

As President & COO of BioSymetrics, led commercialization, managed investor relations, closed a multi-million-dollar round, then served on the board.

  3. Operating cadence reset Media technology

Gave a growing company a system to run on

As COO of Source Digital, put in place the KPIs, quarterly planning, and management reviews that aligned sales, product, and delivery.

  4. Market entry Measurement & Generative AI

Launched new businesses into new markets

As co-founder and COO of Barometric, a measurement and analytics platform spun out of AdTheorent, wrote the business plan, go-to-market strategy, and pricing and launched the business through its acquisition by Claritas. Later, as CEO, North America of gimmefy, a generative AI agent platform, launched the company in the region and signed its first North American client.

My approach

Strategy only matters once it’s executed

I work alongside your team, not from a distance. Every engagement follows the same basic arc, scaled to the situation.

  1. Understand the business

Talk to the people doing the work, look at the numbers, and find what is actually holding things back.

  2. Agree on priorities

Narrow to the few things that will move the business, with clear owners and a shared definition of progress.

  3. Build the operating rhythm

Put in place the meetings, metrics, and decisions that keep a team focused and accountable.

  4. Leave it stronger

Measure progress, transfer ownership to your team, and stay involved only as long as it helps.
